IPL Series

LED Integrated Architectural Solar Area Light

Why Choose the IPL

Description

The self-contained, contemporary rectilinear design of the IPL series smartly embraces modern solar power, adaptive control and LED technologies. With robust construction and unequaled performance, this post-top luminaire is the most refined, architecturally-relevant solar light on the market.

As with all of our solar lights, the IPL series is enabled by our innovative Solar Lighting Controller (SLC). The SLC is “self-learning” which allows the light to predicatively adapt to its surroundings, providing a level of lighting performance and reliability unavailable in other solar lighting products. This luminaire is an excellent fit wherever high-quality, full cut-off lighting and minimal visual clutter is required.

Photometrics Diagrams:

Overview

Our optical system efficiently focuses the light where it is needed. For the IPL, we offer a number of standard lighting distributions to optimize performance for applications from pathways to parks.

All of our lighting distributions are full cutoff, meaning that they are compliant with dark sky requirements.

Lighting Profiles

Overview

A lighting profile controls when a light is on and how bright it is through the night. All profiles are based on when the IPL detects dusk and dawn. The time when a light turns off or dims during the night can be set in two ways – the time elapsed from dusk or before dawn (a duration based lighting profile) or at a specific time according to a clock in the light (real-time based lighting profile).

Please note that for real-time based lighting profiles, you will need to set the light’s clock at the time of install with the First Light iOS solar control app.

For all profiles, motion sensing is set to on by default for any users that are using an area outside of peak hours.

Duration Based Lighting Profiles

Order Key Code

Performance

00

On at dusk > Off at dawn

01

On at dusk > Off after 6 hours

02

On at dusk > dim to 30% after 6 hours > Off at dawn

03

On at dusk > Off after 5 hours > On 1 hour before dawn> Off at dawn

04

On at dusk > Dim to 30% after 5 hours > Brighten to 100% 1 hour before dawn > Off at dawn

05

On at dusk > Off after 3 hours

06

On at dusk > Off after 4 hours

07

On at dusk > Off after 4 hours > On 1 hour before dawn > Off at dawn

08

Off (typically used with motion sensing)

09 (default)

On at dusk > Dim to 30% after 3 hours > Brighten to 100% 1 hour before dawn > Off at dawn

10

On 30% at dusk > Off at dawn

Real-Time Based Lighting Profiles

Order Key Code

Performance

TX0000

On at dusk > Off or dim at time 0000 > Off at dawn (if applicable)

  • T = Real-Time Based Lighting Profile
  • X = D (dim) or O (off)
  • 0000 = Choose any time between 1800 and 0600. Examples 2230 = 10:30 pm, 0000 = midnight, 0100 = 1:00 am
